Title: Advice needed-pin next to track,cg1/2oz negative
Post by: Juggernaut on April 12, 2004, 08:22:41 AM
Hey guys, whats gonna happen when I drill a ball with the pin next to the middle finger(very close to the track) with the cg stacked below at 1/2 oz negative? ( I am a righty)

I've never had anything like this.  I got it from a lefty and am thinking about leaving it like this and seeing what happens but I wanted to ask about it first.

I already posted something like this but I posted it in the wrong place, so I though I would put it here.

jAbBeRwOcKy -- The pin will be in a quite stable position, resulting in low flare.  The ball will go long and arc.  It should be a good drilling for dry lanes.  --  JohnP

This is true as I have a Monster Slay'R drilled this way for dry lanes. However, if I come around the side of the ball rather than stay under it at release it will snap on the backs for me. This may be the result of my inverted track or med-high revs, or both for all I know.......but I do like my Slay'R that is drilled this way very much.

Okay, I did this with a v2dry of all things. This ball will go long, but MAN does it SNAP off on the backends.  First 4 tries I left 2 solid nines like the ball didn't even see them.

After moving into the oil line I shot 246-213(opened the 8th & 9th)-256 for a 715 set.  Ball is wierd looking but hits a TON.

  Thanks for the advice all.
