Milling Machines
« on: October 19, 2007, 01:37:28 AM »
I'm looking to upgrade to a new milling machine in the shop.  I would like to get some opinions on the most user friendly mill for a shop operator on a really tight budget.  The ovalmatic, the powerhouse pivoting machine, and the tri oval are way over budget, but I think I could swing the Ovalmaker machine from Jayhawk.  Also, I know this sounds really cheap, but is there any way of fitting up a regular Rudell jig on a mill and cutting ovals?  Any thoughts are appreciated.

As opposed to mill bits and a decent press? What type of drill press are you working on now?

It is a 1950's model Rockwell press with a Rudell jig attached.

Hello,

We also sell a 3-Point Jig designed for use with milling machines at a very cost effective price.  Feel free to call me in the office on Monday for more information.  Thanks!
