With the lower top weight it should not be a problem for your driller to lay it out pretty much any way you want it

Very few if you don't mind having a balance hole.  An example of a problem you could have: if you want the pin near the grip centerline and also want a fairly high amount of positive sideweight you're limited to what you can get with the cg a maximum of 1" right of centerline (and that would put the mb in an undesireable location.  You should confirm the cg location on a scale to be sure it's not wrong.  --  JohnP

Mo Pinel told me that you should never pay for a Morich ball with a pin less than 1.5-2" as he dont pay for them either. Where did you get that ball from? He said he didn't manufacture balls with a pin less than 1.5-2".

I purchased the ball from a local pro shop that was, unfortunately, going out of business. It's definitely a MoRich ball...how can "Mo claim" he wouldn't produce a short pin ball? As with Brunswick balls, this one was poured in Mexico.

Sounds like the only way that may work or best way would be drilling the ring finger thru the pin.  But with MoRich equipment, if the pin is oversized, you are out of luck.  Hope you got a great deal on it.  Bummmer.

I have a Shift with a 1" pin. My driller told me, it will make the ball a little more mellow of the breakpoint regardless of the layout. He has been my driller forever and a lot of honor scores have come out of the shop, just his .02

Mo pays bruns to pour his balls. His specs are within a certain weight requirement, with a certain top weight requirement and a minimum pin length.
