mb question?

How much effect if any when the MB is outside the VAL. And what will the characteristics be?

For me it depends where the pin is. If the pin is up and MB near the Val, its very controllable with a arching reaction. With pin down and MB near the VAL, it gives me length and a hard arch on the backend, usually pretty strong. Thats just my experiences with it, but could vary for different people and ball characteristics.

The pin is going to be down, but I want to know is it going to hurt anything to put the MB 1" past VAL?

Don't forget that the effect of that positioning will be magnified by the strength of the mass bias rating. That is, for the high rated LevRG (.033") the effect will be much greater than for a Black Widow with a much lower Mas bias rating (.014").
