Anyone know the layout for the voo-doo layout?
« on: February 08, 2013, 08:38:40 PM »
I know I saw it in a bowling magazine at the beginning of the season. I need the numbers for the voodoo layout.  I know it was a 4 1/2" pin - pap but other than that I don't renember

If you don't have access to BluePrint or are interested in trying it on a non-Ebonite International ball you're asking for a headache...

IMHO it's not worth the trouble.  The time spent trying to get everything "just right" too eek out a small difference in reaction could be put to better use practicing...

Wouldn't it be better, in the long run, to get the guy who "needs" this layout, some good coaching basics on how to throw a bowling ball?

No one ever wants lessons or work on their games...they'll just pick up a new ball or think a trick layout will fix it!

If you're not executing somewhere close to "normal" or "properly" (however you view these concepts), no amount of new balls or secret drillings is going to help you in the long run.

Ok the layout is for me to play around with. I remember seeing the article that was later linked in here and wanted to try it on a junk ball I don't use anymore to pass info onto my customers and share info in the forums if asked.   Thanks again for everyone's assistance.

Video put up today on Bowlingchat showing how to do this.
I have tried it on a few balls.Found my strike line with a Perpetual Motion then added the weight hole and had to move 6 and 2 left.
The stronger balls(DestroyR,Nightmare) I have not been able to throw on a house shot.
This layout definetly adds backend to a ball.Great layout for speed dominant players

Not exactly the same thing...  The voodoo layout puts the pin  much higher above the fingers and the emphasis is more about static weights.

The method you're referencing keeps the pin closer to the fingers and doesn't appear to focus on the static weight as being the critical factor.

TJ, this is what i was msging you about. It was apart of Radical Bowling's new drill sheet we got in the shop about 2 weeks ago. I didnt know how public they were going with it, didnt know if they were going to wait for a big Radical release or something, so that's why I msg you. Its not the Voodoo, however, it makes a huge difference in ball motion.
