thumb lateral pitch
« on: October 14, 2013, 03:08:34 PM »
Hi,

I have two balls that I measure from thumb to fingers that appear to be identical.  The pitches in the fingers measure identical.  The forward/reverse in the thumb is identical, but the lateral pitch on the thumb is slightly different.  One is 0, the other is 1/16~1/8 left lateral.  The ball with the left lateral "feels" like the ring finger to thumb distance is shorter.

So the question is, can having left lateral (for a right hander), make the effective span to the ring finger shorter, or am I only imagining this?
