Bought my first symmetric ball this week and was wondering if drilling is different than asymmetric ?

Been wanting to try a 14# ball (use 15# now). I usually throw high end asymmetric solids drilled pin over ring or out and up from ring. Didn’t want to spend a lot as this is kind of an experiment. Found a DV8 Turmoil solid at Buddies for $69.95. After purchase noticed it was symmetric. Was just wondering if a different layout might be needed.

Where do you usually place the mass bias?

BFD I can use Captain Obvious on this. ID usually my mass bias is to the left of the thumb hole (lefty).

For drilling, symmetrical will end up with the mass bias in or near the thumb unless you have an extra hole, which isn't even a thing anymore. Reaction wise, all things considered, the symmetrical will be a bit more round in shot shape.
