Axis Tilt Question
« on: April 23, 2005, 01:45:38 PM »
I posted this in the Misc. Section but didn't get any respones...so...

How much is too much? I am replacing some of my older balls with the Morich line. When my driller was talking with the Morich rep he asked for my axis tilt. Well, I went and threw a few balls and my driller measured my tilt. He said it was about 20 degrees.

I know the more tilt you have the more of a spinning type ball will be thrown. I do put a lot of rotation on the ball but never understood axis tilt. So, what is the preferred amount or the norm and how does one lower or raise this? I read Ron C. article about the release and he touched on it but never quite got into very much depth.

Thanks
Robert

Thanks, I was unsure of where I "fit in" when it came to the amount that I have.

I am also in the same boat as Berreez. How would one go about lowering there axis tilt - say from 20 to the ideal range of 12-18 by changing the grip? What would you do? Change pitches? Span? Please help...
