Title: axis weight drillings
Post by: I am batman on December 11, 2010, 12:52:43 AM
to Batbowler: the closer to the pap, the less flare. I have never had a ball roll over 9 inch wt hole if axis-weighted. The most flare I have seen in an axis weighted ball is just over two inches in my Fury. In contrast, my pin-up Fury flares allmost 5 inches.

to just rico: Yes a nine inch hole is old school. Is that a bad thing? Modern drillings all have their roots in old school. The modern student must not fear the past.
As far as missing the pap and getting reverse flare: never happens if you are accurate in finding the bowler's PAP. At least I have never had the problem.

I could also go try and get PGA tour players to play with persimmon and balata balls...doesn't mean it's smart.
