Well, there are normal pitched where i work, but i have to say that these might be normal for our location, but dosnt mean that it will work for your hand. Almost 80 percent of the time, the pitches in the fingers we drill are 1/8 under, or towards the thumb. Unless you have little flexability, then we change it to anywhere from 1/16 to 1/4 away.

Proper forward/reverse finger pitches are strictly dependent on the customer's finger joint flexibility.  They range roughly between 1/4 forward and 3/4 reverse.  Lateral pitches serve two functions, to prevent the holes from coming together at the bottom and comfort (minimize callouses, blisters, skin tearing, etc.).  The rule of thumb for the first function is at least 3/4 difference between the two holes.  A couple of common combinations (for righties) are MF 1/4 L and RF 5/8 R; MF 3/8 L and RF 3/8R.  Some drillers do adjust lateral pitch to slightly modify tilt, but I'll let those who do talk about that.  --  JohnP
