balance hole questions

can i know what reaction will it have on a ball's roll by placing the balance hole on the upper quadrant on the val,on the pap and in the lower quadrant of the val?

According to everything I've been led to believe, a hole on your val above your pap will decrease flare potential, a hole on your pap leaves it basically unchanged, and a hole on your val below your pap increases flare potential.

For asymmetric balls you can also read up on gradient line balance holes here - http://www.morichbowling.com/Drilling/GradientLineBalanceHole/GradientLineBalanceHole.htm

Holes on the PAP can affect the ball reaction, but it appears to depend on how far the pin is from the PAP/hole.
