Title: Ball Fit?
Post by: Amigo2 on August 07, 2004, 01:48:57 AM
This is a question for all drilling Gurus. How should the ball fit in the hand? Should the ball lay entirely in the palm of the hand or are there certain points of the hand that should support the ball?
I have had a really bad summer and just recently realized that my thumb has not been inserted completely into the ball. When doing so there was a different feel and my timing improved. I believe that most of my problems have began with the grip.

& get to the line on time!

Amigo2 -- Put your thumb all the way in its hole and lay your fingers over the tops of their holes.  The front edge (closest to the thumb hole) of the finger holes should fall half way (or slightly further) between the first and second finger joint for a relaxed fingertip grip.  --  JohnP
