Ball Repair
« on: August 27, 2009, 05:22:41 AM »
I am about to plug finger holes for a second drilling on a ball with the pin below the ring finger.  The pin is about 1/2 inch below the ring finger, and there is a crack between the finger hole and the pin.

What should I do to repair it?  Should I drill out the pin and the crack line as well?  Or would the plug material seep into the crack and help facilitate the repair of the crack? (seems unlikely).

Thanks,

Second that. If possible, drill out all of the hazardous area, so that you have a "solid" base for the plug to adhere to. Might not look elegant afterwards, but from my experience it is the more stable solution for cracking problems in the pin and finger area.
