Ball rolling funny.

To begin with I'd like to say I have no clue what my PAP is so I can't give you that info.  I got an action attack drilled as a gift.  It was a surprise and it was drilled by the same guy thats drilled a few other balls for me.  The problem is that the ball flips funny.  I track about an inch from the thumb and around 2-3 away from the fingers.  Ball is drilled pin beside ring with cg towards center of grip.  If' I've looked right it's about label leverage.  When it flips the fingers move towards the side of the ball but the thumb migrates to the center of the ball causing it to hit the thumb right before it hits the pins.  My driller seems a little confused about it and I wanted to pose the question here.  What can be done to fix this without re-drilling or is this the only option?

Add an X-hole to make the track, or bowtie, move a bit. I have no idea how you do it though.

That's what I was thinking too.  I wish I was able to bring the video and post it on here so everyone could see how it rolls.  I've not seen one do this before and certainly not one of mine.  Thing with the x-hole is that from what I'm remembering there isn't much side weight due to the location of the cg.

Not close to a full roller release.  It may be possible that everything is mis-marked but considering it was a ball of the shelf of the pro-shop I'd like to think that's not the case.  Didn't think about it flaring all the way around.  The only thing is that when it hits the thumb it just looks like it's rolling completely wrong.  I have no other ball that does this or rolls anything like this.  Will definitely pass along what all of you have said to find out what can be done with this.  I'm about ready to throw it in the trash.
