lane#1 drillers
« on: March 05, 2008, 03:32:54 PM »
i talked to my pro shop guy about the drilling i should use on my black cherry bomb and he said he has no experience drilling lane #1 balls so i was just wondering should i be concerned and look for another driller i live on the south side of chicago and i was wondering if anyone out there knows of an experienced driller of lane#1 balls realitively close to me or am i just being paranoid and just let my normal driller drill it up thanks in advance guys

I didn't know special techniques were required for drilling their balls? I've always had mine drilled just like any other brand.

just don't drill it label, the bomb core seems to not work for many people. Anything other and should be a beast. CG out is recommended

let me rephrase what i typed prior to this, because I think i had my head up my butt.

The laabel has been talked about being a hit or miss layout on any of the bomb cores. Works for some, doesn't work for many.

Being that this is a stronger ball, use it for what it is intended and put a stacked or CG out to the right of the pin layout and everything should be ok.

charles is the most knowledgable person on this site...I'd probably listen to this.  I have the same experience...they are no different in laying out than any other balls.

Drill the ball either stacked or CG out for a strong reaction down the lane. =:^D

The pin to pap doesn't matter in Lane#1 balls.

Every ball ever designed for the company works well with a pin under the ring finger, cg-out layout. Just make sure you dont have any less than 1/2 finger weight, and 1/2 side weight. You should also make sure you have lots of top weight.

Make sure you tell this to your driller.

?????????????????

So Michael Fagan and Pete Weber would get the same reaction from a "pin under ring" layout?

Are you serious?

If the pin to PAP does not matter, why does the Lane 1 drill sheet for this ball show different layouts with their respective reactions?
