Ok, I've heard two totally different answers. I'd like a consensus on what's right.
I'm a low rev, high tilt kinds guy. Ball tends to skid too far....
One of the "experts" here told me to definitely, without a doubt, place the pin way high over the ring finger to promote agressive roll.
I've frequently seen, and today saw again, a post verifying that pin UNDER ring fnger promotes early roll.
For once and for all, which is right?

Unless there is something special about your delivery, low pins will get the ball into a roll earlier. If you track high, you still need to put the pin the the "flare safe" zone (draw a line from your ring finger to your PAP).

Strider is correct, AFAIK.
Realize, though, your ball speed also comes into play. If the pin is too low, your ball will roll out if your ball speed is not high enough. Both factors, revs and ball speed, must be considered, at a minimum, as should the ball's inherent design parameters!!

With a high tilt, your up pap might be quite high, This means that a pin above the ring might be in the 3 3/8 zone that promotes early roll, while under the pin would be much farther away. if you could provide us your pap, it would be much easier to discern.

Why do you need my signature?....You know who I am.

Pin above ring finger promotes length. Pin below promotes ealier roll. If you're anywhere close to medium speed or revs.

Keep looking... I'm sure there's a 300 in one of those balls you keep buying!!
pin above the ring finger also "promotes" (I like that word) a snappier or flippier breakpoint, reducing control further.

PAP's 5 over and 1/2 up. I think I have my answer. So much for the "expert" on the Track forum...
Thanks guys. The ball in question is doing exactly what it should (nothing) considering the misinformation I was given. I'll get it redrilled.
