Title: Basic weight hole question

Sadly, there are a few topics on the board for which all answers, both positive and negative, seem to be in play. Bearing that in mind, I wanted toget a sanity check on one item....

Is it generally accepted that a weight hole below and on the VAL will increase back end? I have a Vertigo that needs a little help....
