Title: Best Driller/Pro shop in Houston??? HELP???
Post by: dave300 on June 18, 2004, 11:08:49 PM
I'm pretty new to the game of bowling. I've only been bowling for 3 1/2, 4 months now. My avg is in the 170-190 with the 200+ every now and then. My equipment consists of a Inferno, Blazing Inferno, Dyno-thane Element AU79, Ebonite Killer Instinct sanded and a Blue Dot. I live 125 miles south of Houston and I'm willing to drive further than that for a good ball drill. The reason that I need a good driller/instructor is that I don't know my speed, axis, or none of the things that I probably need to know. The two infernos are drilled almost the same ( pin next to ring) and for me react similar. The dyno-thane was drilled by a local guy ( pin under ring) and the ball just slides and rolls out!!! Big disappointment on that one. I use the inferno 80% of the time and usually play the second arrow with good results. Any help would great, thanks   dave

You might send a message to users bamaster or Mike Austin.  Tony (bamaster) runs another site (allbowling.com) and Mike Austin is his driller.  Both are excellent bowlers and live in the Houston area I believe.

Dave where are you from exactly. I live in la porte 15-20 minutes from houston east, south east of baytown. Mike Austin would probably be your best bet and is number one recomended buy alot of pros in the south west region. you will have to set up an appointment because this guy is booked year round, or used to be anyways. Give him a hollar @ mike austins precision pro shop inside of dynamic lanes located @ hwy 59 and tarnef.
