I bought a Track 300C to use on tougher tournament conditions when the lanes can get really dry.
Would it be better to drill the ball with the pin closer to the PAP (1"-2") to reduce flare or futher away like 6"?

Personally, I like to drill long pin under layouts on weak equipment for my dry lane stuff. So I would go with the 5 to 6 inch layout, but pin down. It'll really smooth out your look, but give you the length you need to clear the fronts.

It all depends on how you throw the ball. I'm rev dominate, so everything drilled 5-6" from pap was skid flip for me. Too much over/under I was dealing with. I started in June using 2" or less pin to pap positions, and its tamed the ball down alot for me, and no more skid flip.

Don't worry the zombies are looking for brains, your safe.....

both will have similar flare characteristics. the closer to pap will provide earlier roll and tame the backend more. and the 6" could get very over under
