Thanks for the replies guys. The question about mb to pap is 6 1/2 on the asymmetric.MB is right below the thumb hole roughly 2 1/4".I do understand there is some variables.Just trying to see if there was a way to get close to same reaction as the asymmetrical.Ball is money for me on wet/dry house shots.I can tug it and get hold tweak it right in the dry and dont hook in my face.
If the RG and differential specs and cover are about the same, I would go with the same pin to PAP and VAL angle. Maybe a bit longer pin to pap at 2 3/4, because I think an asymmetrical ball with the same RG differential will still flare more than symmetrical. You could always increase the flare with a weight hole too though. As said before, the drill angle on symmetricals is not important to reaction.. only to where it puts the cg and thus where you can put a weight hole. I would put the cg so that you could but a weight hole near or a bit lower than the thumb hole, if needed. If the ball doesn't react the same, a hole here would mimic the MB position of the asymmetrical ball. Depending on the distance from the pin, it could also increase the flare. Not knowing all of the RG specs on the two balls makes it difficult to know for sure though.
