I want to learn how to drill my own stuff, so I'd like to know where everyone goes to buy their presses and etc.
Thanks!

Good question, I would like to know this myself....
-
By the way, I'm not rich or anything, so I'd LIKE to keep it around $500 or less, but I'll see what I can do..
Thanks again.

You'll have to wait for a place that has ball drilling equip like Kmart to go broke again.
Used Jigs are like 250 to 300 pre ship. Drill presses used like 300.
Shipping up to 300! That does not include drill bits.
I've heard of guys getting them when Kmart went under for about $350.

Just a couple days ago somebody on this forum had a Jet Drill, Jig and Innovative Spinner for $1200, or, $1350 shipped. I know this is over your budget but I just thought I'd mention it.

Good luck finding something for $500. If you are lucky, you can find a used jig for $300-500. You should be able to use a standard 16" drill press - probably at least 3/4 hp, and at least 4" spindle travel.
Depending on your location, you might be able to find something on ebay. Most sellers don't/won't ship, so it's usually local pickup. There were a few on there recently in Washington state, and one in Iowa. Honestly, if something is on ebay, people from this site will bid it up higher than $500.
Jayhawk sells all the equipment - you can contact them for the price list - http://www.jayhawkbowling.com
This was the cheapest thing on the price list dated 6-15-06.

Anyone from upstate NY that wants to talk about this PM me.

Trim Man - that's not me. I'm from Dallas, Texas. Not sure what the point of your post was, however, it especially wasn't on topic.
It seems my $500ish budget isn't legitimate, I did however get with a local pro-shop owner who has said he'd let me learn on his machine, so I suppose this cures my curiousity for now.
Thanks for the replies..
