I am having some trouble deciding what to do with my x factor reloaded it has tons of games on it I just had it re surfaced but it doesn't hook like it useto I can't really gage howmuch reaction it lost. I useto have a high track and above everage revs and throw at 12 mph but after working with my couch I throw 14-16 mph with average revs and a medium track. I was wondering if I should get it re drilled for more reaction or just buy a new ball. I don't know anything about drilling but my friend said it was drilled really weakly.

With "tons" of games on the ball, it very well could be dying. The resurfacing should have restored some of the reaction. You increase in speed certainly has an effect on the hook.

I would consider buying a new ball. In my area the charge to plug and redrill is about $55. When you consider the cost of this on a dying ball, one wonders if it is worth it. Drilling it stronger may only increase the hook marginally.

I would save the ball for drier lanes and drill up a new ball.
