C.G . to the left ??
« on: February 11, 2004, 01:32:34 AM »
what, is the reason for placing the c.g. on the left side of your grip

I have picked up a ball with this drilling:

                         0   0  *                          * = pin, . = c.g.

                       .

                           0

I DON'T KNOW THE TOP WEIGHT                              ANY HELP !!!

the c.g. is about an inch left of grip line

I have one like this too.  It dramatically reduces the midlane that the ball would normally have with a normal label (cg postive) or stacked drilling.

This makes a strong cored inside loop ball in to a ball that goes very straight in the heads midlane and then the pin takes over and accomplishes almost normal recovery.  Not quite.  Beautiful on league wet dry!

I have this on a Victory SPT and it lets this ball go straight for a long time for a polished particle with a strong core.
On a pearl with oil on the lanes this ball might go straight all the way to in the pins then try to hook!  Too late!

That drilling is made to have length, and a smooth backend(based on a 5" pap). I have this on my Icon 2, and I love it.

Way to go, Lucky. You hit it right on the nose. That is exactly the reaction I have on my newest little weapon, a pearl Bull Whip. See my review in the AMF forum. Nice extra length, then a smooth arc as the core takes over. If I get it too much in the dry, it will still flip though.
