new drilling layout
« on: November 17, 2006, 06:41:15 AM »
Ok i am about to order a new Power Machine here in the next few days and was looking for a new drilling layout. im not very particular about drilling and never have been. i was looking for a layout that would make the ball specifically for going deep and cutting in hard at the end. any suggestions would be appreciated

Mass bias needs to be in the strong position. get the pin up keeping the MB Approx. Even with the thumb. The pin should be between 3 3/8 and 4 in from PAP

depending on you rev rate you will want to choose a pin position.

high revs go with about a 4 in pin lower revs go with 3 3/8

I use pin 4.5 from axis and MB on the strong position for longer med/heavy oil for deep.

For a little straighter angle on that type of pattern 5.5in pin from axis and MB just to the NEG side of thumb.

Brandon,

One would need to know your ball speed, rev rate, tilt, rotation and the environment you bowl in to best match you to a layout.
