The label type drilling depends on the core somewhat. For some cores the ball goes longer with a stronger backend, with other cores the ball rolls earlier and smoother on the back.
For cores that go longer and hook sharper, it's better to use this on shorter patterns or for playing straighter down the boards, with more of a snap off the dry. This layout usually works better for bowlers with longer a PAP measurement.
When you get deeper and catch more oil and/or carrydown, this layout is tougher to carry or line up with.
With cores that roll earlier, you can get away with playing a bit deeper with a more controled reaction off the dry boards. =:^D
