PAP = Positive Axis Point
This is the axis the ball rotates on when it is first released. This is used in drilling to orient the core to give the ball a specific reaction. This measurement is done from the center of the grip, and is unique to each bowler's style.
Example a PAP can be over to the right 5" and up 1" from the center of grip. This is the location of the imaginary "axis" that the ball rotates on. This measurement can vary greatly.
