I was just wondering if there is any advantages or disadvantages to drill a ball so it needs a weight hole? an what different reaction will ya get with the ball being light or heavy in certain areas like fingers,thumb,side weighs.

Star, it's possible, but 1/4 oz. is too much to get out. If it as 1/16 or maybe even 1/8, I could see it, but not 1/4 oz.

BFF, the advantage of using a weight hole is the ability to put the core at different angles, therfore giving you different ball reactions, which you mormally wouldn't be able to do without a weight hole. =:^D

Starbucks, believe me it's not only a female thing.. even men can come up with the very same reason..

I agree with T-GOD and in this case you better let her understand the purpose of the balance hole.

Hi BFF,

The advantage of a weighthole is to be able to shift a weightblock in a high tech ball to various positions to create a certain reaction. If you have a ball which does not posses a high tech core, then shifting the block is not as necessary(i.e. Col Scouts, Bruns Grooves, urethanes and of course plastic). The weight hole is drilled to adhere to ABC standards of static weights (3 ounces top or bottom, 1 ounce max pos or neg side, 1 ounce max fing or thumb).
The only disadvantage I can think of is an aesthetic one for some. Hope this helps...
