rico with sarge grip

got a friend who uses the sarge grip and wants to try the rico layout. will the layouts intended reaction change do to the sarge grip. he comming back to get a new ball this evening so any insight would be appreciated.

I have it on three balls and I seem to get the reaction I was looking for. I guess I'm not sure what your concerned about?
