Here is a picture of Chris ball
Lane #1 Enriched Uranium
http://tinyurl.com/pqwqn
he is a right handed bowler but the cg looks like its on the negative side
what kind of reaction do you expect from this drilling?
-
Fairly good length, with good continuous back end. Don't worry about the cg being negative, static weights don't matter.
My question would be- why did they take a picture of this ball while it is sitting in the gutter? LOL!

its in the gutter so he doesnt have to hold it with his feet(to keep it still).

why dont static weights matter?
As long as they are legal they dont matter, because cores and covers are so much stronger today static weights have very little if any influnece in todays ball reactions. When you were talking about pancake blocks and early generation cores they mattered more but now nearly as much now.

When I've drilled balls with the CG in that position I've always done so with the idea of drilling a ball to play inside with, somewhere left of third arrow. For what it's worth.

Thats chris's spare ball. If you go the the pic link on the brunswickinsiders from this week there are pics of him throwing other balls, some hammer and ebonite.
Here he is throwing The One, and on the ball return is a Hammer Vibe and big blue spare

This was his other one, & I think the same ball or layout that he used the time before on the show.

OK, that last picture cleared the thumbhole question up for me. It's just a round hole in a black slug, but the white tape makes it look almost triangular shaped. -- JohnP
-
JohnP- that's what I was gonna say, and maybe the shadow from the flash makes the top/front of the thumb hole look funny. Pretty sure that is a round hole or close to it.
The X Factor Ace is Norm Duke's, I think I saw that on another thread?
