does it matter....????
« on: March 04, 2007, 09:44:00 AM »
i recently punched up my new fury (4.5, 55 degrees) and told my driller to put an x-hole down on my VAL. While it is the 2.25 down that i wanted, it is .5 toward my grip center.

Will this effect its reaction at all?????
(I realize that its only a little bit off but im curious)

If I understood Brunsnick's video about X-holes,the closer you move the hole towards your grip center, the less it will break.

Also if it is 1/2" inside a straight line down your VAL, it is actaully closer to inline with your VAL.

Most likely, Ric has the answer.  Remember, lines on a bowling ball are curved, not straight.  To accurately mark your VAL, you have to have a quarter scale.  Accurately draw in the grip midline, then draw a line perpendicular to it and through your PAP.  See how as you go down the line the curve brings you back toward the grip centerline?  --  JohnP
