Double thumb drilling on a strong ball
« on: May 01, 2009, 03:19:30 AM »
Hello all, I am interested in trying this layout and was wandering what the strongest ball you have tried it on and how well did it work? Just looking for options on what kind of ball to put it on. Any help appreciated.

I have this on my Black Widow Bite.  I drilled mine weak because the high differential scared me.  It never had the bite (sarcasm intended) that I expected.  Tried a Brunwick flare increasing hole with little effect.  Plugged that and put in a P4 weight hole with Mo's gradient line system, which is basically a double thumb in this case, since that where the P4 (mass bias) hole went.  The flare lines are further apart and the ball has more reaction down lane now.  Not a night and day difference, but a nice improvement over the original drill.
