Ball Pushing Right
« on: February 21, 2009, 06:36:11 AM »
M1y friend's PAP is 3.5 over and 2 inches up. The pro shop drilled his Uprising with the pin 1 inch from his PAP and the cg 5 inches from PAP. The cg is about an inch from his thumbhole and the pin is about 1.5 above and two inches to the right of the ring finger.

He says that the ball actually pushes right before getting into a roll and hooking.

Could this be true?? I don't think the proshop bothered to measure the guys PAP before drilling the ball.

Also, what would be a better layout for this ball with his specs. He tracks close to the thumbhole, a little less than an inch, and 3 inches from the middle finger.

Thanks for your input.

Do you really mean cg or do you mean the MB being 5" from his PAP and 1" from the thumb hole?  The MB on this particular ball must be 3" or more away from the thumb hole.  I'm not sure exactly why but it has something to do with how strong the MB is.  That's the only reason I could think of for the ball doing something weird like that.

You are correct, mb. I have an uprising that I purchased used that is one of my favoritie balls. It is drilled pin up and to the right of my ring finger. I have not noticed where the mb is.
