Hi, I was wondering if there was any info on the web how drilling patterns effect how high/low the ball tracks. A buddy just got a tropical storm and it is clipping the thumb hole. None of his other ball do this.

I understand flare X points, just not sure on how to raise, lower track. Any info or link to web site appreciated.

The initial track is strictly dependent on the bowler's release (see my post,

assuming that span and/or pitch changes haven't changed his release on that ball.

However, the pin position does determine the location of the track's bowtie, which affects the location of the flare rings after the initial track. For a high tracker, the pin should be located to the right of a line from the PAP to the ring finger (this area is called the safe zone) to avoid clipping holes. -- JohnP

I got a ball that the thumb hole shifted over to the left more then my other balls and Im a high track to medium track player and it was hitting that hole so I had to practice changing my axis tilt to get away from that.
