Drastic finger pitch change

My "normal" finger pitch is 1/8 away. I never feel the full finger pad on the insert. Recently, I was told to go to 3/4 away, and (i know, not optimally) used the pitch first in a new Vendetta particle, drilled theoretically 3-3/8 stacked leverage with a PAP of 4-1/4 by 1/2 (left handed), and sanded to 600.
Now, I feel the full pad, it's quite comfortable, but the ball doesn't hook worth a %^&*, even compared to my throttle-up and V2 strong, both set fairly mellow...

Possibilities?

1. The extra away pitch is affecting my already low rev release.
2. The ball is just not that hot by comparison
3. Other thoughts?

Constructive comments appreciated. I'm really struggling on long oil and just can't make it happen (yet).

Have you ever thrown a Vendetta Particle before?
If not, it is not a huge hooking ball; for me, it was virtually a control ball on medium-heavy or more oil. Even with a polish, I couldn't make it snap. The V2 STrong is alos a ball for heavier oil amounts. Neither ball will snap, but both almost need a good amount of oil to work to their design specs.

3/4" is a lot of reverse pitch for fingers. Do you have severe arthritis or some other health condition that warrants this pitch?
- Also going from 1/8" reverse to 3/4" is an extreme change. I am just testing a change from 1/8" to 1/4" and it seems huge.
- Note that when increasing your reverse pitch you must also increase your span, from thumb to fingers to account for hand gripping, comfort, strength, and other factors.

Charlest, you are correct.
1. Yes, my fingers on left hand don't bend even close to right hand, causing the theoretical necessity to change pitch.
2. Nope, had not thrown the Vendetta Particle. It's probably part of the problem and not what I'm expecting, but to a low rev lefty on normal flooded left side condition, not much is going to "hook" anyway  ;(
I want to be fair... If I roll it perfect, slow way down, and there's a 20 mph crosswind at the time, it will react fairly well, unless I'm inside of 10, then it just skates.
Obviously some of the problem is the bowler  , but I'm just not sure how much. I guess when I see a particle solid drilled strong and sliding down the lane I keep wondering how much is me, how much is the drill, and how much is throwing it thru the breakpoint. Typical speed is 17.5 at release according to CATS at Reno, not terribly fast.

All thoughts appreciated.
