« on: February 09, 2007, 12:45:25 PM »

-Would the drilling layout #11 Full Roller  3 3/8" from grip center but a good layout for my Hammer Toxic If I wanted the most hook potential?

If you're a full roller, your initial track ring will be between your finger holes and thumb hole.  If you're not a full roller, the full roller layout will probably (depending on your track location) flare into the holes.  --  JohnP

How would you find out that you are a full roller?

By going to a reputable pro shop and having an educated eye tell you that you are a full roller.

Take your normal ball to the lanes and throw it right down the middle (oilest part of the lane) with your normal release.  If the ball comes back with oil rings over top of your fingers or between your fingers and thumb, then you are most likely a full-roller.  If the oil rings are all to one side of the fingers/thumb, then you're not.  Full rollers seem to be quite rare today (in my area, I only know of one).
