Title: Drilling a Mega Friction for Nationals?
Post by: tjj300 on June 13, 2009, 02:10:52 PM
I'm lefty, high tracker, 280-300 rpm, 17.5 mph, around 40 degrees.

I've got a 15 lb Mega Friction 2nd, 5 in. pin, box says 1.75 TW. I'm weighing it out at more like 1.25. Currently box finish (1000 Abralon).

I'm thinking 4 x 4, after laying it out it's more like 4.25 x 4 because I have to move the pin inside the ring finger hole. Using dual-angle, both angles are 60 degrees. Before I punch it, I'd like to get some opinions.  I'm also bringing a Cell, 5 in pin to pap, over fingers, MB next to thumb, 2000 Abralon. I'm looking for something to use for the first game or two, than maybe move inside that line with the Cell.

BTW, There will be one other lefty on the pair during team, fairly accurate stroker who will probably be playing straight up 5.

Surface prep sounds right and drill it for a lower flare. I used a 500 abralon grit SR300 with the pin in the ring finger and mass bias under the thumb. Also, I targetted up 6-8 area.
