Title: Drilling method
Post by: bowler851 on March 25, 2012, 01:08:45 AM
Could someone explain to me why I am seeing more and more balls for sale (used) that the ball driller scratch the layout instead of using a yellow pencil. I would be pissed if I bought a new ball and pro shop handed me a ball scrached up.

If you're talking about what I'm thinking of, some drillers use this to mark up the Bowlers span. It's much more of an accurate way to layout a ball using this precision tool. Not saying the conventional way is not accurate..
For me, I don't mind it. It's just a bowling ball and it'll get jacked up anyway.

It's tacky and stupid....the drillers on the tour truck don't do it anymore....why do regular Joes like us need it?
