5:30/6 o'clock leverage.

Basically, flip the pin/cg to get more finger weight while keeping the pin in a somewhat rolling placement.

Unless there is a weighthole I don't see, or ball was under 2 ounces top weight,

Ball must have illegal fingerweight!  Well unless thumb real deep.

LL, that's what I was thinking, but with the CG that far out, wouldn't drilling the thumb hole deeper give even more finger weight??  Like you, can't see a weight hole but just can't visualize this having legal weights.

Maybe it is one of those Lane 1 blems out there with the label upside down.  I have seen some over the years.  There was a run of pearl cherry's like that.  I wondered about that as well.

It looks like a variation of the 315 degree angle drilling. I recently saw it described here:

http://www.rollrite.co.uk/secrets.php?id=11

It may or may not have been appropriate for that ball, given the description on this secrets page.

No garuntee its not a pin in ball being a Lane 1. You have to find the cg as they were not always properly marked. Otherwise deep finger holes or low low top weight.
