Tour Boss Trick layout for pins over 4 inches

I am looking for an old layout that was on the back page of the Columbia layout booklet that came with the Boss and the Tour Boss. The layout was for pins that were over 4 inches away and I was curious if anyone knew where I could find this information or had it available. I googled but no luck.

I have the original Spec & drilling sheet from the Power Surge. It shows the same drillings. These days, I don't think this is anything special. It looks something like this:

Title: "Drillings for Pin Out 4-6". Top wt. 1.5 - 4 oz."
Exact Description from the sheet: HEAVY OIL "Pin 4.5" from PAP, CG 4" from PAP and 1.5" - 2" below center of grip. Position X-Hole (weight hole) over 6" and 2.5" down"

P is pin, F is finger holes, T is thumb hole, A is PAP, C is CG, X is weight hole.

Description for Medium Oil:

With a weight hole that far from the grip center I'd be concerned with high rev bowlers rolling over it...

There is a special section on this drilling sheet about the dangers of certain placements of any weight hole. But, in this case, it's also 2 1/2" down.

AND don't forget, this was back int  he late 90s, where most manufacturers used generic PAPs to show drillings. Nowadays, we're more aware or how and where to place pins, CGs and PSAs and the appropriate weight hole to accomplish a huge variety of purposes.  Back then, while I'd guess most manufacturer's reps had a good idea of drillings, the vast majority of us, even those of us here, were not nearly as knowledgeable as we are today.

Today it would have your drill the x-hole 2.25" down your VAL. That way it helps with the flaring issue. That generic location mentioned could be very bad for bowlers whos PAP are under 5".

Like Charlest said if you look at many of the old drill sheets compared to what we know today they aren't super accurate/detailed.

I thought I'd ask my question here so I don't have to re-set the premise.  Does a ball with a pin-out of 4-6 inches pose any concern for drilling layouts?  Being that someone was looking for a layout sheet it makes me wonder.  Would there be any specific limitations for a ball with this spec?  Let's say top weight could be anywhere from 2.5 to 3.3.  Would lower or higher top weights improve the siuation (for lack of better phrase)?

I'm only asking because I am looking at a ball that has this and need to know if it is not such a good deal due to the spec.  Thanks.

Here is the best way of looking at it. If the ball has a short pin, 0-2" your going to be limited to pin even with or under the fingers. Anywhere from 2" from your pap up to 6" from your pap for any ball with under 4ozs of top weight

When you get to longer pin balls like 4-6" your going to be looking at pin up layouts primarily with the option of being anywhere from 2" from your pap up to 6" from you pap with any ball having 4oz or less top weight.

If you have a longer span the longer pin bowling balls are nice as well for different options.

If the ball has a 4-6" pin and your wanting to drill the Rico pattern your likely not going to be able to. Or if you wanted a layout out with the pin under your fingers you may not be able to.

Both short and long pin bowling balls can have some limitations but you still have a lot of options to get the desired reaction your looking for with the right surface, layout, and x-hole location.

That does help, thanks. My span is on the long side; around 5 1/8 or thereabouts. So it sounds like long pin might not be as limiting for me as it would be for someone else.
