This is the first time since high school that I've bowled in two leagues in a season. I'm used to bowling 3 games...6 days off...bowling...6 days off, etc.
This summer, it's been bowl...2 days off...bowl...3 days off, etc.
This past Monday, my thumb started hurting where it connects to my hand. I thought that I was just holding the ball wrong and shrugged it off. When it did the same thing last night in 7 frames (and hurting worse), I went to my spare ball for the rest of the night and hoped my thumb would be okay.
One of the things I noticed after a few frames with my spare ball was that my thumb stopped hurting and felt just fine. It got me wondering if the thumb hole pitch was wrong on my strike ball, and I just never noticed it since I'm used to being on one league instead of 2.
My question is, if the pitch on my Gargoyle trio is wrong, can it be repaired simply by inserting a new thumb insert instead of plugging the hole and starting over?

"After Green had a difficult time locating the pocket, Blue shook its head. ''The pins are not afraid of you. Let me deliver the wrath you seek to inflict.'' Green agreed, and Blue surveyed the lanes and spoke to the crowd. ''I am Blue. All who stand before me shall be punished!'' But the pins laughed at Blue and angered him, so Blue ravaged the lanes and unleashed untold horrors of death and destruction upon the population. Upon seeing this, Green and Violet praised Blue and accepted him into what is now the Trio of Destruction."
