I have a NIB Inferno. I want to drill this ball right on the first try because they are discontinued. Now, here is what I want it to work on....
I want it to work on medium/heavy oil - but playing the inside of the lanes (4th arrow). The shot it will be used for is a sport pattern, so the ball cannot be pushed out past 10 at the breakpoint. I still want the ball to clear the heads though.
I tried throwing an intense inferno with a Pin Axis drilling, cg 180 - hooked too early.
I tried throwing an intense inferno with a Pin over fingers, 5 inch Pin-PAP - cg 70 degrees. hooked too late.
I tried throwing an Impulse Zone with the same drilling as the second intense inferno - sometimes too early hook, sometimes slid past breakpoint.
I have already have had suggestions such as this:
Rico drilling with Pin 5 inches from PAP with X hole 6 3/4 inches from Pin through CG, and CG at 45 degrees.
Also I have had a suggestion to put pin over fingers with PAP 5 inches from PAP
Please Help!!!!
I also have a 4 inch PAP, 1/2 inch up. Speed is medium. Rev Rate 280-330. Axis tilt, prolly 15-20.

The lanes surface was medium/heavy. If you tried to play inside you needed a ball that hooks, but you couldnt get it outside 10 or your in trouble

You need to provide a lot more info. PAP, rev rate, axis tilt, lane surface, oil type/length, exact drilling + surface prep... Huge difference between a pin axis and 5". Where was the CG in each case?
