should i add a xhole on my plastic ball?

is it a good idea to add a xhole on my plastic ball so it has negative side weight?

If you'd like to prevent your plastic ball from "hooking" away from the 10 pin just sand it to 600 grit or learn to throw it dead end over end...

jlo... i dont like that, not my type

i can throw end over end, but that changes my release completely and i dont want that!

I don't think it will make that much difference.
But if you have medium revs and slower ball speed, it can hook away from some spares. Why not try it, taking it to 1 ounce negative and tell us what happened.

FYI don't do it if you are a high tracker as it will bring your track closer to the holes. But then, thumping over the holes, like WRW's spare ball does, is another way of killing the hook. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

nop, im not a very high tracker, the oil ring on my spare ball is about 2 inches left of my middle finger

yea i'll try it, i like putting holes on my bowling balls

how much negative is allowed? 1 oz?

1 oz. pos and neg side weight. 3 oz top or bottom weight. (Last I recall)

If you don't like it, you can always have it plugged.

I leave mine as is, because there have been times when the lanes are so dry, I have to use it as a strike ball. But then I throw my spare ball slightly to a lot different than my strike ball. So, it hooks less.
