Just curious how many people drill their own stuff at home and aren't a business? Or how many would have if they were able to?
I purchased a jig and drill bits years ago and acquired other things along the way to complete the set up and drill a decent amount for me and my family. Just curious if others are interested, since I have an extra jig and full set of bits I'm in the process of getting ready to clean and sell.
It paid for itself in the first few months of my brother and I buying bowling balls from ebay and bowlingball.com When you get a lot of great bowling balls for $90 or less shipped to the house it doesn't take long.

I bought the equipment to drill my own stuff with back in 2000. Then, I bought a nicer set up when a local pro shop went out of business. I drill mostly for myself, my son, and a couple of others. Don't do it for profit, but just to have the ability to try a lot of stuff a little cheaper.
I went to Mike Riggins ball drilling workshop in Ft. Wayne, IN and learned to get pretty decent at it.

Run a shop, but I have my own setup at home. I've got everything but a scale. I drill for the family and thats it at home.

I think if you can find a good deal it is a great investment. You can save a lot of money on bowling balls and if you drill a few a year that is all it takes. PLus it forces you to learn more and I think betters your game. That and practice.

I drill for myself, my girlfriend, and 2-3 other guys. I have a press, jig, bits, scale, router, and random accessories. Basically everything but plug, and that is just because plug has a shelf life. It pays for itself in a few years. It is worth it if you are planning to bowl for many years to come.
