CLT, Strickland, Collier or Action Grip (Frankie May)

What is the benefit of this type fit for those who are familiar with them?

your palm sits on the ball. This should help you to relax your grip and help you come around the ball a bit better. Ive tried this and I think it feels great. I can notice the difference in the consistency of release and my rev rate has increased a bit.

Which version did you try???

CLT, Collier, performance...they are all slightly tweaked different ...right?

This is EXACTLY the results I have recently accomplished with a new grip that tenpinspro fitted me with when I visited California while on vacation in May. This grip took away all of the 1/4" out lateral pitch I had to have on a standard "T Grip" due to a stiff thumb and put it at 0 lateral, (I think I could even go 1/8" palm pitch now but won't as it works good as it is) plus took pressure off thumb, put more weight of ball on the pads of fingers, a bit more palm on the ball, and has enabled me to get around the ball better as well as increase revs. It has a bit of a CLT feel, but isn't a CLT grip.

I'll say it again.. there is only one triangle in space that represents your grip. No matter what you do... you are either changing pitch, span, or hole size... or some combo of the three...  Call it what you want...you can offset this, change that, etc.. knock yourself out.. it can still be copied using a standard T-grip method.

Uh Uh, not quite. You can begin with a T-Grip, but you finish otherwise, but if you want to call it a T-Grip, that is up to you.

That's my point.  CLT, Strickland, offset, these are really fitting variations to the basic T-grip.  The only difference is the location of the reference lines you use to measure your pitches from.  But they are still relevant in describing how the ball fits your hand. It's true that once a ball is drilled with one of these methods, you can measure the pitches so that they conform to drilling a T-grip.  And you should do that, makes replicating the grip in other balls much easier.  But the hand will still hold the ball like a CLT grip, with the ball sitting down in the palm.  So it is still a different animal.

To say otherwise is like saying all stools are alike because they all have 3 legs.

Whatever you call it.....I call it COMFORTABLE. It is the best feeling "grip" that I own, and I am glad my driller introduced me to it!
