"So on the 920A, my new skid/flip...I saw that a 90° drilling angle will roll the latest and a 20° VAL angle will transition the fastest at the breakpoint. I throw the ball about 19mph with very high revs. Is there any chance that 90° will push the ball through the breakpoint?"
There always is that danger, no matter what angles you use. The surface will be more responsible for where the breakpoint is. Once the surface is set for your ball speed and the friction coordination of ball surface and lane surface+oil amount, the proper dual angles will provide the optimum breakpoint shape.
FYI, AFAIK, 10 degrees is the shortest, most abrupt VAL angle.
"The higher the drilling angle, the more the length...and the higher the VAL angle, the sharper the break..."
AFAIK, the smaller the VAL angle, the sharper the breakpoint.
