Title: Dual Angle Question.

From what I understand the first angle(pin/mb to pap) the lower the degrees, say 10* the ball will roll sooner, and 90* later.

What I don't grasp from what I've read so far, is what the second angle controls other the the layout being "flare safe". On turbo's PDF it lists a generic 45* for a medium track player. Now I know there's more to it than that, and that's the info I'm looking for.
