Dual Angle Question
« on: March 10, 2010, 04:06:12 AM »
Ok so I have been trying to learn as much about the dual angle layout system for a while now and I have a question. In Morich's description it says

"Keep the sum of the two angles between 30° and 160° to create effective ball reactions while still allowing the ball to maintain hitting power. Yet the drilling angle must still be kept between 10°and 90° and the angle to the VAL between 20° and approximately 70° (depending on the bowler's track)."

Now, I have saw on here people using more extreme angles like I one was like 315 degrees if I remember right. Was this not for the dual angle or can you use other angles for more extreme drilling?? Also if you can use them, is there something that explains the affect of these angles on ball reaction??

I was able to find the chart I was looking for. It was for drilling angle which is what I thought. If anyone else is interested here it is...
