Pin under bridge? Also, Bruns CG marking?

Yes, I know....CG No maddah.    But does brunswick mark the cg, and if so, how?  I don't see any kind of marking on the Smokin I just traded for.  (My first Big B)

My second question is what I should expect from a pin under bridge drilling.  If I can, I usually just plug the thumb to save a few bucks on drilling (though I will fully plug if I deem it necessary.)  All of my present equipment either has the pin around the ring finger, with none of them having the pin below the fingers.  What will the difference be?

The CG is a punch mark.  *Typically* you can find it by looking at the big B logo and then going down from there.  But you should be able to find it anyways just by looking around the pin area.

As for the drill layout, exact reaction depends on your style and PAP.

I have medium speed and low revs, though I am working on becoming more of a power stroker.  I like a good down and in shot as my game plays now.  My PAP is 4 1/8 over, 1/8 up, or somewhere near there.

That is true; versus OVER the bridge providing a later role.

Of course, location in the bridge area (versus to the righ of the ring) will reduce flare... and generally the folks looking for a later snap (more of the skid-flip variety) prefer this layout....

Earlier than WHAT????

You can't use the comparative tense, unless you state what in blazes you're comparing it to - said in intense and evergrowing frustration.

Ok, ou're also comparing apples to oranges. If you place the pin over the bridge area, in order to PROPERLY compare it to the pin under the bridge, you MUST place it at the same pin-PAP distance as the other placement,inorder to getthe sam eRG differential, in order to get the same flare, when thrown bythe same bowler. So, with the pin placed under the ring finger, the same pin-PAP distance will in all likelihood, be placed somewhere to the right of the ring finger, IF it is also placed above the ring finger/bridge area.

Now, with the same pin-PAP distance, you measure the pin to midline distance, say 2" versus 3.25" and you check the ball reaction on the same lane oil, thrown by the same bowler, and BINGO!, you have a valid comparison.

Does or doesnn't that makes sense??
