Has anybody tried a drilling like this??.. with a weak/longer pin position with a MB near the VAL.. I thought it would be more of a hook set reaction but I have heard that it gives a strong midlane with a ton of continuation on the backend.
I'm sure it depends on ball, cover, lane and release...

here is a video of the c-system 3.5 with a similar drilling.. not quite as long of a pin to pap... is this the layout , lane , or release that is getting this type of reaction??

i have not tried that layout, but i really like how that rolls. wonder how your layout would work on an Onyx Vibe?

yeah.. the reaction is sick.. I just don''t know if it is the ball, the lane condition, or the release..

I think the lanes must have a ton of dry bounce to them for that ball to recover like that.

The layout and reaction was brought to my attention by kmanestor22
he said he likes really long pin to pap( 5 1/2 +) with the MB by the VAL.
He says the continuation on the backend is great.

yea, i would of thought the ball would have burned really early, but your ball still rolls strong off the spot. could be a solid layout for a sport pattern. something that is reving up, but not burning up too soon, and also not too jumpy off the spot.

Judging by the vid I would say the lanes have a lot to do with it. That is a gutter ball in most places.

on the Onyx Vibe I don't think it would make that big of a difference since it is an symmetrical core.

The drill angle won't mean much.. but the weight hole placement would..

The drilling in the video, 35* x 4 1/4 x 30* is a strong midlane read with a heavy forward roll. It is a very strong layout, that carries well. You must have decent speed and rotation for it to work. Also, those dual angles and that PIN distance are for medium trackers.
