drilling a ball with a small CG distance
« on: August 25, 2007, 06:13:40 AM »
I got a new Radical Inferno and the CG is only 2 inches to the pin. Is it best to drill above the pin in this case? I have another ball with short CG distance and I told him to drill it 5" to the PAP with the CG kicked to the right and placed the finger holes above the finger holes.

Yes, in that case you'll want to keep the pin below the fingers. You can still maintain the 5" from PAP, but in order keep the ball legal after, you'll want to go below.

you can also have it drilled with the pin over the fingers but you may need to drill very deep around 2 1/4 inches the ring finger or both fingers to keep it legal .

Look at it this way... the Radical Inferno doesn't need any extra help getting length. Use a lower pin location.
